Dinner was at Patisserie Cake Shop last Tuesday evening after work. I wanted to do some grocery shopping at Supa Save in Mata-Mata. Hence dinner at Patisserie Cake Shop sounded convenient since the restaurant is in within walking distance from the supermarket.
It had been a good few years since the last time I visited Patisserie Cake Shop. I think they had made changes with the table arrangement. It now has more tables and chairs in my opinion. They seem to have more varieties for desserts too despite I didn’t try any of them.
Mentaiko Pasta | B$8.00
mentaiko (cod-fish roe), sauteed pasta with our special creamy sauce, topped with ebiko and buttoned mushroom
I am not sure if Home Kitchen is also under the same management or they have some sort of collaboration, you can now order dishes off Home Kitchen’s menu in Patisserie Cake Shop. They will be prepared in Home Kitchen and delivered to you from next door.
The pasta was well seasoned and cooked al dente to my liking. The ebiko on the top of the pasta added texture to the pasta in overall. However, I wasn’t overly impressed with the toasted garlic baguette served on the side. They were dry and hard in my opinion despite they did well with the garlic spread. I like my garlic bread a little softer.
