Good morning! I am waking early today as I am having another appointment later at 9AM in the morning. I am going to the dentist for flossing. Yeah, you must be thinking of all the places to do flossing and I am doing it while I am on a holiday.
Mom and I will be headed to breakfast at one of the nearby hawker centers after my dental appointment. Anyways, I didn’t get to try the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cheese Brulee yesterday as I was afraid that I could not make it on time for my appointment at Dr. Stretch. But I am going to try to make it today since I would be at City Hall later in the afternoon.
I was feeling a little bit hungry when I reached Suntec City for my appointment at Dr. Stretch yesterday afternoon. It was about 10 minutes walk to Suntec City via the underground bypass from City Hall Station. It could had been faster if I used the main road but I wanted to find where Marina Square is.
Without further ado, let me show you what I had as my first meal in Singapore yesterday!
Old Chang Kee was the first food shop which I came across as soon as I came out from Esplanade MRT exit into Suntec City. It had been more than a year since I last had one from Old Chang Kee.
Curry’O | S$1.50
I went for the basic and had their Curry’O. Loved the filling and it was more on the creamy side with small potato chunks. Meat wise, there weren’t a lot but the chicken pieces were tender. Despite loving the filling, I wasn’t a big fan of the thick pastry crust. It was a lot thicker than the ones that I am used to.

I had the curry puffs at Old Chang Kee too last time I was in Singapore and though I liked it, I wasn’t crazy about it because of the thick crust. I did love their deep fried octopus on a stick though! 🙂
Yeah … The filling was good but not so huge of the pastry crust. However, I tried their Sardine’O this afternoon and I liked it better. You should try their Sardine’O next time if you love sardine and spicy food.
